ENZYMES FOR TEXTILE INDUSTRY
The application of enzymes in industrial textile processing has evolved tremendously leading to eco-friendlier, energy efficient processes and final products of consistent and better standards. Enzymes, such as cellulases, amylase, catalase, and laccase, are commonly used in the textile industry. These enzymes are used to removing the starch, degrading excess hydrogen peroxide, bleaching textiles and degrading lignin.
Enzymes, which are biodegradable proteins, have become the most sought after option in textile industry, due to the increasing awareness on environmental concerns, better energy and water savings, safer handling and most importantly because of their substrate specificity. These advantages of enzymes have made them an integral part of the textile processing.
ANSEL BIOTECH manufactures enzymes used in desizing, biopolishing, bioscouring and bleaching.
